Pro Mod Final. Indy. Who wooda thunk it?!? Charlie Farrar on his C&W Dragbike Chassis in the near lane, comes out of the second alternate spot to take on points leader John Sachs (on the painted Franco bike) in the final. A good weekend for Farrar if it ended there, right? It gets better. After losing the holeshot to Sachs, Farrar rips off the low e.t. of the event at 6.820 to simultaneously set the quickest lap ever for a Pro Mod Kawasaki and bring a Kaw to the Pro Mod winner's circle for the first time since Dave Vantine did it at Indy in 1997! Stunning!
